How many times have you come across a file which seems to have lost its proper file association?  Maybe you've installed a new program which has Shanghai'd your file type and you want it back!  Wink  99% of the time the fix is a simple one...

Right click on the file which has been incorrectly associated with a different program, select Open With -> Choose Program.
At this point, if you see the target program in the list, click on it and make sure the box is checked for "Always Use The Selected Program To Open This Type Of File".  Click OK and you should be done. If you find that you program is not showing on the list, you may need to "Browse" to find the target program's executable file (.exe).  Once you located it, though, you proceed as stated above.

That should do the trick!  Grin

@lgamez-

  yeah, I see it most often with music & photo progs (corel, itunes, media player, etc.)  sometimes, when installing, these programs "announce" they are about to change your settings.  However, there are plenty.. *cough, choke Windows Media Player* which default the change while installing.   Tongue
