as most of you know, the sender of a myspace message can tell whether or not the person read the message. it will show up as "read". is there any way the message won't show up as read? so the person thinks i never read their message?

Actually, I've been trying to figure out if there is a way to leave messages as "sent" rather than "read" even tho they've been read ... I've been looking all over for something that applies to this ... did I over look something?

Myspace automatically deletes your sent messages after 2 weeks. So just wait 15 days to read it and they'll never know.

Thanks ... Jewels, the curiosity might actually cause my death if I didn't read the messages for 15 days, haha! I'm WAAAY to nosey of a person to just let them sit. But it's a thought Wink

http://she-geeks.com/forum/myspace-discussionhelp/tip-for-getting-a-glimpse-at-your-myspace-messages/

I was in the email address account that I use for one of my myspace accounts and I noticed that the myspace email notifications in your email account will show you the first part of a myspace message you got. It will also show you part of the message that you get from friend requests.

So if you get a message but you don't want the sender to know that you read it--you can get a glimpse of the message this way.

As I noticed last year...if you wait 15 days to open the message via myspace the sender won't see "read" in their outbox--since sent mail disappears after 14 days.

If you want to get a glimpse of myspace mail, you need to turn on your myspace notification via myspace account settings.

Dont know how long this will last or if its permanent.

Thanks for that! I have all my notifications turned off but I'll turn the message one back on now. Appreciate it! Smiley
