Ever since I installed flash 10 and changed my flash settings to not allow third-party flash content to store data on my computer I've noticed that the music players on any myspace pages just don't show up. Is this a coincidence? Anyone else having this problem? Can't seem to resolve it

why dont you allow third party? thats prob your issue. if you are worried about scripts running on your computer without your permission, add a ff addon called noscript. its awesome.

There's my question of the moment -- what is a "script," and therefore the benefit of a "noscript" addon? I've been wondering about that!

script is like flash application. like java. runs on pages. some are malicious. noscripts doesnt allow scripts to run on the page unless you allow them too.
better explained here:
http://noscript.net/

honestly, you might have to do alot of looking around for one. especially for free. search haq forums for bots etc., but i know for a fact they will want cash.

I kept finding all kinds of crap files being stored in my flash folder, mostly from ad sites. The idea kinda pisses me off so I changed the settings. I'll give no script a try. Thanks Justy.

Ok so I added noscript and on nearly every page one of the scripts it is blocking is "about:blank" When I googled that a ton a pages popped about it being a browser hijacker. Eek! That mean I've got something malicious on my comp? I know this probably wasn't the place to ask but it went along with previous posts.

well, hun, you have to go tot the bottom of the noscript addon at the bottom of the page & allow what page/script you want to run on the page, but usually about:blank is just a common config in FF. the next step i would suggest is: download hijackthis here:
http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html
post your results here & i can tell you if you are infected.

You can try
AboutBuster was designed to be a tool that scans for AboutBlank on an infected system
NOTE: don't forget the important steps to getting this tool to work properly.

ok i have a question... my target and I are talking again and he added me to his myspace.. his page has been private for a while so just for the kicks i went in my fake account and looked through my own new friends clicked on his page and voila!! is public.. so I went under the fake account and try to see pics and it redirected me to the page that says this page is private u have to be a friend to see this profile... this also happened with new friends, older comments just like the profile was 2.0 the thing is it has the old layout .. so my question is and it seems pointless but u can still have the same 1.0 layout and be 2.0 at the same time cuz the page acts like it was 1.0 private to 2.0 private u know when u can see the profile but u cant see pics or earlier comments or friends ect...how did this happened i alo checked other private pages and they seem normal so what could it be any help will be deeply aprecciated...

Quick question. I'm not sure how long myspace has been doing this, but I'm online (logged on to myspace) on a daily basis and just noticed this. Myspace is now allowing you to comment on people's status as if it were an open chat room (you're able to see friends of friends comments on your homepage). It's mimicking facebook, writing on someone's 'Wall'. Now because this is a relatively new thing, I was just wondering about the potential loopholes. I'm going to play around with it some and see if I can manipulate it in any way. Anyone feel free to help!

Has anyone else noticed that the "headline" on myspace is now private?? can you make it UN-private does anyone know? Like I didn't change my settings, nor did any of my friends, but now unless you're the person's friend you can't see their headline...
