I'm hearing that Linux is free, where can I get it from, is it downloadable and is there a free tutorial somewhere?  I really want to install and learn this, any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

@perfectly_geek-

Yes- Linux is free.   Grin

Distro Watch is a good place to start for downloads and more info on which Distro you might want to try:
http://distrowatch.com/

Follow the links outlined on my initial thread post and they will help quite a bit.
